Overview: San Cristobal Jarra Torreon La Casa del Habano

The San Cristobal Jarra Torreon is a Gordito vitola, measuring 141mm with a 50 ring gauge. They are offered in a gorgeously unique porcelain jar containing 25 cigars, this luxurious display transforms itself into an ashtray when the lid is turned upside down.

The Jarra Torreon are velvety smooth to the touch with a light cedar and honey sweet aroma off the foot. Once lit they start slowly with a light body and strength, and we found the top notes to be a salted caramel and creamy coffee flavour. The draw is easy and produces large plumes of silky smooth smoke.

In the second third there was a bold floral note that was a welcome surprise and a warm earthiness came through as well. The flavour strength increases slightly in the second third to a mild medium strength with a medium body.

These cigars are wonderfully smooth and their easy smoking flavours make them an excellent choice for an afternoon smoke. Try pairing them with a crisp lager for a leisurely smoking experience you can expect to enjoy for just over one hour.
