Overview: Saint Luis Rey Herfing – Regional Edition Medio Oriente 2017

Saint Luis Rey Herfing RE Medio Oriente is a Duke vitola or Robusto Extra size, measuring at 140 mm with a ring gauge of 54.

They are a regional release for the middle east, beautifully presented in a Semi Bote nature box that carries 10 cigars, there are only 7500 of these available worldwide.

They are filled with the finest long filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba, and expertly handcrafted. A beautiful aroma of pine and leather floats off the striking Colorado colored wrapper of this cigar, they are finished with a classically colored second band carrying the name of its region of availability and a striking crown in the center.

The Medio Oriente cold draw is deliciously subtle with floral and a dash of spice coming through. Once lit it offers a rustic bouquet of cedar, coffee and leather in the first third, the strength starts slowly at a light medium level.

In the second third a warm walnut and black pepper flavour note introduces itself, mixing with a touch of salt for the finish. The flavour and body of this smoke pick up slightly in the last third, reaching a medium full strength.
