Overview: Romeo y Julieta Tacos Limited Edition 2018

The Romeo y Julieta Tacos Edición Limitada 2018 is a Grand corona vitola, measuring 158 mm with a 49 ring gauge. They are offered in boxes of 25.

Tacos Imperiales is the factory name for this cigar, only used once before, it was pulled from the pre 1960’s archives for a re-release of this Edicion Limitada. .These cigars now receive a secondary band noting their Edición Limitada status and the year it was selected.

As with all cigars that are created for the program, they are filled with the finest tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba that has been individually aged for at least two years. The aromas of this cigar are a harmonious blend of leather, vanilla and a bit of nuttiness. The cold draw brought notes of espresso, almond and a touch of floral sweetness.

Once lit we found flavours of creamy almond and cedar to jump out first, with notes of coffee, bread and a touch of leather coming in around the second third. In the final section we detected flavours of caramel and a touch of pepper mixed with baking spices, the flavour strength is quite mild until the halfway mark, where it increases slightly towards a medium strength.

You can expect to enjoy this cigar for around 90 minutes.
