Overview: Cohiba Siglo III

The Siglo III is a Corona Grande vitola, measurements are 155mm with a 42 ring gauge. This fine cigar is filled with the signature premium tobacco blend exclusive to Cohiba, and is Totalmente a Mano, Tripa Larga – long filler, hand made, in the famous El Laguito factory.

The renowned Cohiba Siglo series were released in 1992 to commemorate the 500 year anniversary of Columbus’ arrival to the new world, becoming available internationally in 1994. Siglo Series are known officially as the Linea 1492 range.

True to Cohiba the aromas were mild coffee and soft grass, we were greeted immediately by an elegantly smooth burn that produced a fragrant smoke with distinct richness. Subtle flavours of wood, sweet spice, coffee bean and vanilla all swirled through this bouquet and left a touch of spice on the lips at the finish.

This cigar lasted around the 90 minute mark and stayed consistent with a medium body and strength profile from beginning to end. For an enhanced experience try pairing this one with a cuban coffee or fine brandy after dinner.

Description

This Habano from Cohiba’s Siglo line seems, at first, to be in no man’s land, partly because it is a format that looks as if it was being abandoned by the traditional brands. But, at he same time, it is a size that perfectly relates to the new-generation Habanos. If you are a smoker of this format, the Siglo III is one of the best, but if you smoke the traditional Cohiba sizes, you will find it too smooth.

I am getting through these worryingly quickly. They are consistent, rich and very enjoyable. Not a huge volume of smoke, but of course this is due to the fairly small ring gauge. Recommended.

  2. Bob Bucaro

This cigar is very consistent as are most Cohibas. After all the price tag should warrant some reliability. You’ll find all the classic flavors of the marca in a light to medium bodied experience. Starting well at the foot and continuing great until the head.

  3. Pini Davide

This is one of those cigars that i just dont understand why people dont rave about them like they do about other cohibas. That beautiful smooth creamy taste that make me keep looking at is hoping and trying to make it last as long as possible. give me one of these and a good single malt on a warm evening. Life can be good sometimes.

  4. Peter Payumo

The siglo III is among my favorites all time smokes. It burns smoothly and even and has a great taste. Sometimes the finish is a bit bitter, but this varies from stick to stick.
Unfortunately this time I was not so lucky with my order. Even the box got inspected, one stick was squeezed by the wrapping band. Better luck next time!

If your looking for that COHIBA experience but can’t break the bank, you can’t go wrong with the Siglo III!
(Especially when buying from Cuban Lous)
The construction on these were near perfect, resulting in a perfect burn (always a big plus). All the flavors one expects from this brand, coffee, chocolate, and a touch of vanilla. Creating a nice smooth creamy smoke, perfect for any occasion. And as a bonus leaves a sweet lingering after taste! In my opinion the best in the Siglo’s, only being topped by the Siglo VI!

  6. Joe Ventura

This is a great cigar. The start was a bit mild and creamy, but became medium bodied about an inch down. The cigar had hints of nuts, leather, and cedar. The finish was a little short. An overall great cigar. Strongly recommended

Less than a year old and these cigars are amazing. These Sig III had some hay, a little earth, coffee, chocolate, and a touch of vanilla. I had a smooth creamy smoke for2 hours. Best Sig IMO!!!!!!! Thank you Cuban Lou’s
