The Romeo y Julieta Belvederes is named for its vitola, or Small Panetela as its factory name measuring 125mm in length with a 39 ring gauge.
These cigars are tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade using an exclusive blend of tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba.
The Belvederes offer a deliciously rich flavour profile, full of creamy coffee, cacao, and a hint of floral in the background. The body on these is a solid medium while the flavour strength builds up to a medium steadily as it smokes.
The draw is snug at first, but unfolds significantly by the end of the first third offering a steady smooth draw from there, with a voluminous amount of creamy smoke. In the second third flavours of baking spice and a dash of cedar come through, while pepper introduces itself as a delicate undertone of flavour.
This delicious flavour profile is excellent for an afternoon, they would pair excellently with a crisp white wine or cloudy wheat ale.
This fine cigar will respond best to a minimum of 3 years aging time for all the complexities to come together into a truly elite smoking experience.
