Overview: Rafael Gonzalez Perlas

The Rafael Gonzalez Perlas is named for its vitola, measuring 120mm in length, with a 40 ring gauge They are available in boxes of 25.

The Perlas have a toasted tobacco aroma mixed with cedar and vanilla that floats off a perfectly constructed cigar. They have a rich flavour profile of creamy coffee and nut in the first third, with an even burn and a perfect draw that offers large plumes of smoke.

The strength hovered around a mild strength with a medium body. In the second third we found additional flavours of coffee, chocolate and a dash of floral that had a distinct sweetness from notes of vanilla and honey. In the final third the cedar notes continued and were joined by notes of cumin and oddly, a note of bourbon.

You can expect to enjoy this cigar for around 45 minutes, excellent for an aperitif smoke.

These cigars will respond tremendously to aging, we recommend one year minimum, 2-3 would be ideal.
