Overview: Partagas Maduro No.1

The maduro leaves are some of the most exclusive leaves, being harvested from the top of the shade grown plant. They are then cured, aged and naturally fermented, creating the beautiful color and deep, rich flavour that many find to add a sweetness to the flavour profile.

Once unwrapped we found a rich herbaceous aroma to jump off this stick, once lit a delicious blend of sweet morning bread mixed and raisin flavours settled in and offered a medium bodied smoke with a surprisingly long finish. In the second half flavours of star anise pushed through, with some rich nut and coffee flavours joining the bouquet.

Due to the medium body and delicate flavours we highly recommend aging this cigar for a minimum of one year. It will pair best to a crisp clear drink, sparkling water may be the smartest choice so there is no competition on the palate.
