My Father The Judge — Toro Grande (6 × 56). Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro wrapper. Medium-Full. Nicaragua.
Awarded #7 Cigar of the Year 2017 by Cigar Aficionado. The 656 is the long-format companion piece to the Grand Robusto — same blend, different architecture. At 6 × 56, it offers additional development time and a slightly different expression of the tobacco, with the extra length allowing the blend to breathe and open up in a way the shorter vitolas cannot.
Cedar and roasted nut dominate the first third, delivered through the Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro wrapper with a subtle, characteristic sweetness. The middle third introduces dark espresso and rich leather as the Corojo-Criollo binder asserts itself, before the three Nicaraguan fillers from Garcia family farms push the blend toward a full, rounded earthiness. My Father’s signature pepper spice arrives emphatically on the finish — clean, warm, and persistent.
A cigar for unhurried evenings. Box-pressed, handcrafted in Estelí, Nicaragua.
