The Montecristo No. 3 is the classic Cuban full length Corona vitola, measuring 142mm in length with a 42 ring gauge.
The numbered series is the founding line of cigars that launched the Montecristo brand in 1935, they are hand rolled and filled with the finest tobacco leaves from the Piñar del Rio region of Cuba. This range is aged for two years before being released, making them an excellent smoke right out of the box.
Beautiful aroma emanates from this cigar, a sweet blend of toasted tobacco mixed with honey notes and a touch of pepper. A similar flavour profile to the No. 1, and No. 4, with bold and rich flavours of creamy coffee, cocoa and vanilla with a decadently thick smoke that reached a medium-full strength mark. We also found additional flavours of cedar and a dash of spice that came in the second half.
We can recommend this cigar with a full strength beverage like a scotch on the rocks or a gin martini. This caigar will hold its own no matter your choice or pairing.
