Overview: Montecristo Especial No.2

The Montecristo Especial No. 2 is a Laguito No. 2 vitola, measuring 152 in length with a 38 ring gauge. They are beautifully constructed at the H. Upmann factory, in Nuevo Vedado in Havana. 

They are tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade using an exclusive blend of tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba, and finally finished with a traditional triple cap. 

The Especial No. 2 has a particularly unique flavour profile, filled with complex flavours of caramel, 5 spice blend, leather, and a touch of fennel. This cigar unfolded tremendously as we smoked, in the second half additional herbal and floral notes mixed with the top notes, never advancing past a medium strength, but each puff left us wanting more. 

The Especial will pair back to a crisp Sauvignon Blanc perfectly, pour a generous glass as this cigar will take you around 90+ minutes to fully enjoy.
