Overview: H.Upmann Connoisseur A

The Connoisseur A is a Robusto vitola, with a length of 140 mm and a 52 ring gauge. This is only the second cigar to be placed in H. Upmann’s Linea line, the other being Connoisseur No. 1, and was released in 2013.

A lovely cedar aroma greeted us as we unwrapped this cigar, and at first light a creamy thick smoke came off the near perfect draw. We found earthy flavours of floral and nut that combined nicely with the cedar and cream also coming through. The strength stayed around mild until the 2/3 and then picked up the complexity and progressed to medium strength, the rich creamy smoke kept it smooth until the finish.

A refined cigar experience suitable for all levels of smoker. You can expect to enjoy it for 90 minutes, be mindful not to puff too quickly so that the flavours can be appreciated to the full potential. Best enjoyed with San Pellegrino to avoid competition on your palate.
