Overview: Hoyo de Monterrey Coronations

Hoyo De Monterrey Coronations is a Petit Coronas Vitola, with a length of 129mm and a 42 ring gauge. This cigar comes individually packed in an aluminum tube with an aromatic cedar lining. 

The Coronations makes an excellent everyday cigar, offering a mild to medium strength profile and an approximate smoke time of 45 minutes, perfect for a leisurely lunch break. They are produced totalmente a mano, tripa larga – man made, long filler, using the finest tobaccos in Cuba. 

We found the aromas to be distinctly chocolate but also had an herbaceous quality, while the flavours were complex and full of baking spices that mingle with a soft cocoa and light notes of new leather. Aging for two years is recommended for this cigar to reach its full potential. 

While we would not recommend this smoke for someone new to the world of Cubans, this would be a great introduction to the Hoyo De Monterrey brand and their full flavoured smokes.
