Overview: Romeo y Julieta Maravillas Year of the Rat 2020

The Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 are named for their vitola, Maravillas No.3 vitola, measuring 155 mm length with a 55 ring gauge, the number 8 is an additional nod to the chinese culture as it is considered a lucky number.

These cigars are a new special production commemorating the 2020 Chinese New Year, boxes of 8 are presented in a stunning red lacquer box with a gold rat design on the front. Each cigar is decorated with a branded band and a second band, which is uniquely placed at the foot of the cigar, that displays a gold rat and the year 2020.

These cigars are tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade using an exclusive blend of tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba.

The Marvellas 8 begins with a soft palate of aromas including cinnamon, thyme and a touch of grapefruit. The citrus continues into the top flavor notes of lime, cherry and a warm chestnut note. The body begins at a medium and only slightly increases as we smoke, in the second third some additional flavours of vanilla, bay leaf and maple come into play and carry into the long finish.

You can expect a smoking time of around 75 minutes, which we highly recommend enjoying on a sunny afternoon with an ice cold glass of white Havana Club rum.
