Overview: Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe – La Casa del Habano Edition

The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe is a Petit Robusto Vitola, with a 52 ring gauge and a length of 114mm. This cigar is the first Hoyo De Monterrey addition to the La Casa Del Habano exclusive release collection, it became available internationally in 2012. 

The Epicure De Luxe is handmade, wrapped in a beautiful caramel colored wrapper with two bands proudly displaying its name and exclusive designation. 

Once unpacked this cigar gives off multiple aromas of grains, cedar and berries. Once lit there were large plumes of smoke right off the bat, with bold flavours of wood and soft pepper that combined with a sweet cream and butter biscuits. 

While this cigar starts out with a mild body, as it burns it develops into a medium strength flavour with smooth transitions that last the course of 90 minutes smoking time. 

The rustic flavours in the Epicure De Luxe make it an excellent match for a bold cup of coffee or a fine bourbon on the rocks.
