Review notes: One of my all-time favorites. Construction is masterful, a work of art. Body is on the edge of full, but not quite. Beautiful palate: coffee, caramel, leather, maybe sandalwood. Just an absolute killer with a decent single malt or a premium rum. Like all Robainas, some age (6-12 months) will intensify the magic. Draw can be just "slighty" less than ideal for me, but I'm accustomed to smaller sticks and it's not enough to dent my rating.
To the reviewer (Marc) who said the Don Alejandro is actually named after a "13th generation Mayan priest" - thanks for your infinite wisdom. I'm sure Don Alejandro Robaina would have been disappointed to learn this. |

Review notes: A must have in the Humidor. It makes you awe as you hold it and puff till theres no mas. A plus if you know what you have in your hands. Experienced smokers only. |

Review notes: One of the best looking wrappers i have ever seen...and the smell. this is how a cigar should smell. This one reminds me of a Sir Winston. Sorry to say it again but this really needs a few years to stew. |

Review notes: This cigar was named for a 13th generation Mayan priest and is probably one of the top three cigars I have smoked in the Double Corona/Churchill size. I find the Don Alejandro to be an extremely well made, smooth smoking cigar. Most cigar magazines and enficinados rate this cigar medium to strong however I personally feel it is closer to the medium side of the rating (certainly not as strong as the H. Upmann Sir Winston Churchill or the Cohiba Espendido. However if you are looking for a smooth mellow tasting bad boy, this cigar is for you. The added benefit is that Vegas Robaina is not one of the first tier Cuban cigar names that everyone knows like Cohiba, Montecristo or Romeo y Julieta which means lower prices, less production and better quality control. Try the Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro. I guarantee that you will add it into your lineup and that you will purchase far fewer of the grossly overpriced and overrated Cohiba Espendito (and yes I know the the Espendito is a Churchill and the Don Alejandro is a Double Corona but they match up well for comparison purposes. |

Review notes: One of the best i ever had.
Sitting down in a cigar lounge listening to light music and enjoying a malt whiskey.
Best combination i could have for the night was this excellent cigar.
Thumbs Up. |

Review notes: My first time trying Don Alejandros, always buy the Famosos which are a great little Cuban cigar.
I just received a box of these wonderful Cuban specimens, I\'ve been anticipating the arrival of this stick ever since I placed the order. Opened the box to find that same o’ll Cuban tobacco smell, oooooo I love that smell, took them right out of the original box and gently placed them in my humidor. After letting them sit for a couple of days to de-stress I lit one up, just a little disappointed with the draw but over all this is a Kick A$$ Cuban. The construction is near perfect, the wrapper is a nice earthly brown, the aroma is delightful and the flavor is most definitely Cuban! I would highly recommend this cigar to those that enjoy a more medium to a slightly full bodied smoke. |
