Review notes: Having smoked Cubans for more than 30 years - I have had an opportunity to smoke a wide range of Habanos over the years. The Trinidad RE is always in my humidor and whenever I smoke one, I am still suprised to find that it remains one of my favorite cigars. It has a beautifully balanced flavor and aroma. I would categorize this as a medium to full flavored - never bitter always well aged and a nicely blended smoke. While the consistency of the Habanos have varied at times - I have never found that to be the case with this cigar. It is not an inexpensive cigar, however, in my opinion worth every cent! |

Review notes: great looking cigar with the pigtail, wrapper was golden brown, wasn\'t on the dark oily side, i found this cigar to be quite mild, wasn\'t strong in strength, however the flavor was pretty good, the wide ring gauge allows a good volume of smoke. flavor wasn\'t too complex from the stick i tried. a good smoke for those that likes the cigars mild and smooth, my self personally prefer stronger cigars though. a tad on the expensive side for daily smoke, but worth a try if you get the chance! |

Review notes: This stick is cost a bit much to be an everyday smoke; however, one a week is very doable. This cigar is rich an aromatic. It teases one with its layers of flavor. I have a box from 2006 put away for my 50th birthday bash. Smoking one will make that age milestone less painful. |

Review notes: This is one great smoke with the Trinidad quiality you get a beautiful wrapper and rolled by only the best. I think it is hard to find a better rolled cigar than the whole Trinidad line. This is a mellow great tasting cigar with lots of cream and earth. |

Review notes: A well constructed cigar with a smooth, delicate, golden brown wrapper. Just a couple small veins running the length. Pre-light draw was perfect, with a good tobacco flavor.
After lighting and getting the burn going, first draw was mild light. The smoke was sweet and floral, with a hint of pecans.
It burned perfectly, with a strong ash that held on to the halfway point. There wasn’t much change in the smoke other than picking up a little in strength toward the end. This was a good, mild and smooth smoke. |

Review notes: I first had the opportunity to savour one of these beauties at the Cuban Cigar Show in Havana in February of 2004. Trinida were sponsoring a special dinner that year and for $150 U.S. (this was just before they stopped accepting U.S. currency) we received a wonderful meal, fabulous entertainment and of course a gift pack containing one cigar from Trinidads lineup. My complaint with Trinidad as a brand has always been that while they make beautiful cigars of great flavour and bonquet, the ring guages were a bit "girly man". Now I know some of you like the figurados and other slim cigars but to me the real man's cigar must have a band width close to 50 (meaning I favour Robustos, Churchills, Double Coronas,Toros and the A size monsters current only produced by Cuaba Diadiamis (my all time favourite) the Montecristo A (very respectible but a bit overprised) and finally the Sancho Panza Sancho A (the least expensive of the lot but still good value for the money). Let us only hope that the makers of Trinidad will surprise us this year at the Cuban Cigar Festival as I understand they are once again sponsoring a cigar night which might mean the introduction of a larger cigar. In the meantime enjoy the robusto, the best cigar Trindida has come out with (unless of course for some strange reason a large ring size is not for you) |

Review notes: What a cigar! I'm always a little nervous trying a new smoke, but this one was no disappointment. On the contrary, is it possible to fall in love with a cigar? It sure is with this one. Impressive construction with a perfectly balanced draw, impeccably even burn, and a symphony of wonderful flavors. Just the right balance between Cuban power and those delicate little nuances that make the smoke dance on your tongue: coffee, pepper, spice, honey, all brought together in a wonderful smoke without a hint of harshness. I could go on forever. In my opinion, this one is better than Cohiba's Siglo VI! |

Review notes: The craftmanship involved with these is nothing short of spectacular. The whole presentation in a tribute to what humans are capable of. Each cigar is perfectly constructed and the draw in absolutely fantastic. The volume of lovely, rich creamy smoke has an abundance of delicious flavours and the cigar with have you reaching for the cocktails sticks as it gets to the end. Not for a special occasion because that occasion would detract from the experience. Truly marvellous! |

Review notes: I tend to favor cigars with a larger ring size. While I love the Fundadores - I think that the RE is one of the 10 best cigars currently produced in Cuba. It is finished with a pigtail as are all the Trinidad cigars. It is finished beautifully and smokes extremely well, with an excellent draw. It is a hefty cigar which I would classify as medium strength. While not cheap - I think it is worth the money and smokes well without aging but does benefit with some time. While cohiba has the name - Trinidad is right up there with quality, craftmanship and taste, at times surpassing most of the better known brands. |

Review notes: I was gifted this cigar from a friend of mine, after that smoke he's a great friend of mine. I smoke at a medium speed not to slow, not to fast. This cigar took me 2 hours to smoke. When ever I smoke a Trinidad it always puts me in a special place. I felt it started out some what slow but half way it really bloomed in to a beautiful smoke. I never nub cigars, most of of the time I leave the band on, but not with this one.
Zino Davidoff Idea that a cigar should not be smoked past the band may have been true when he wrote his book, but he did not have the chance to smoke a Robusto Extra.
I Truly miss my cigar. |
