Review notes: A great marvea at a reasonable price! This SLR is a perfect example of this classic brand, and one of my favorites out of so many fantastic petite coronas. This smoke is has nice complexity with quiet a different character from so many of the others. Even at the young age of this box the smoke is smooth and creamy the whole way through, with distinct cinnamon and nutmeg coming and going. As long as not smoked to fast not a harsh note. More time removes that potential. If your a petite corona fan, definitely a smoke to consider into ones rotation. And definitely worthy of sitting on in the back of ones humidor!
a bit of punch Date Added: Sunday 10 May, 2009
Review by Michael Appearance: 10 out of 10
  Construction: 10 out of 10
Average rating: 9.40 Flavor: 9 out of 10
Value: 8 out of 10
Experience: 10 out of 10
Review notes: The taste is sweet, cinnamon, nutmeg, and that slight bit of leather from the second third. A good, solid cigar to smoke, when you want a bit of punch and don't want a long smoke.

Review notes: I bought a box of these fine cigars to celebrate with friends. What an excellent choice they proved to be. (If I do say so myself!) An ample, easy draw despite appearing to be quite a tightly-rolled cigar, this Mareva smoked very well indeed. My cigar lost its ash only twice, each time showing me that this was a fine example of the art of rolling, with beautiful light-grey bands ringing the ash. The burn was perfectly even all the way to the end, and the flavours remained commendably consistent - that is to say, musky, almost meaty in the back, but with a more woody taste to the fore and a satisfying floral aroma in the lingering smoke. This cigar also proved resilient (or stubborn!), only going out after I had left it quite for some time. A light, easy social smoke that perfectly complemented a fine ale (Landlords, for those of you in a UK freehouse) or decent Scotch (50yr old Glen Grant, a fine, fine tipple for special occasions), but not lacking interest or depth of flavour for the solo or everyday-smoker. Excellent value for money too.

Review notes: I received five of these babies in a sampler pack a few months ago and put three of each away to age, so my experience with them is limited. However, the one that I smoked thus far was a wonderful and surprising experience. Easy draw, even burn, sweet, smooth, rich and enormously satisfying without a hint of any harshness. This is not to say that I found them too weak or mild. In fact, I found this little Corona provided all of the elements of a good Habano without any of the hints of poor manners of some others. If their character and my experience with the rest of these remains consistent, I'll definitely be making these a permanent part of my inventory!

Review notes: Quite possibly the perfect morning cigar with a cup of coffee. Very floral/sweet flavors that dance on your taste buds. If possible, smoke it a little slower, they can be unforgiving and pick up alot of strength if smoked too quickly. ENJOY!
