Review notes: Smoked a few a couple of months ago and I must say that these cigars rival the montecristo 2's. Reason being is the price is perfect for someone looking for a great cigar without emptying the bank. Not sure of all the tastes but it is a great cigar.... |

Review notes: Going through the cigar list and ordered these little smokes. Got my Famosos in the mail and loaded 3 up in my carry case, headed for the cigar shop for a smoke. Handed one to a Doctor friend of mine, he lit up and everyone. I mean everyone, wanted to know what he had, so I lit one for myself. Starts really mild, then changes to medium bodied smoke with some hint of sweetness and very toasty nut f... |

Review notes: I usually purchase boxes of cigars and just on a whim bought two of these to smoke with a friend and what a surprise! Complex and full of flavor yet smoother than most Hoyo's. The label on these were different that other Hoyo's. Instead of having the points of the crown just printed on the top of the label, the points were actually cut out on the label.
Now I have to order a box... |

Review notes: The wrapper was a nice medium brown, very smooth, and no noticeable veins. Pre-light draw was perfect, but with no discernible taste.
First post-light draw was good, with a smooth sweetness, citrus twang, and the perfect amount of spice. As the smoke progressed I started picking up hints of roasted nut on the finish. The flavors remained consistent through the experience.
The burn was good... |

Review notes: This caramel colored torpedo had good weight to it and pre-light draw was perfect, with a sweet tobacco taste.
Post-light brought on some spice and cedar. As the smoke progressed, the spice mellowed out and then it was pure cedar and leather. I know it lists as a full-bodied smoke, but I considered this more of a medium-full. Didn't detect much change in the flavor, though the flavor and aroma ... |

Review notes: This was a nicely constructed cigar. Classic lonsdale size, with oily medium brown wrapper. Firm, and has a nice weight. Pre-light draw was perfect, with good aged tobacco taste and just the right amount of resistance.
Once lit, thick creamy smoke and tastes of black pepper, earth, and wood came through. There was also a hint of herbs, that I could not quite place.
The cigar started out as ... |

Review notes: This is a big cigar with a medium brown and coarse wrapper. Pre-light draw was on the tight side, but the stick seems on the edge of being overly humid or moist.
Still a tight draw after toasting the foot. A slight run started, but corrected itself, then started again. About a third of the way in, the smoke started to flow better. Tastes of roasted nuts and sweet hay came through with a bit of ... |

Review notes: This was a nice looking cigar. Medium brown oily wrapper, coarse, but not too coarse. Good give when squeezed but the pre-light draw was on the loose side.
Post-light flavors included a small amount of spiciness and tastes of raw pecans. There were also hints of cinnamon and leather.
The ash was flaky and did not hold well. The burn got a little crooked a couple times, but nothing I couldn... |

Review notes: I too was drawn to this cigar by some saying it was the closest to the Sir Winston. Since I didn't want to pay the price of the Sir Winstons, I opted for these. I have to say, I'm a bit dissapointed at this time. I have had draw problems. Problems staying lit. Flavor is somewhat bland. Spongy feel. I'm sure they will improve and perhaps they need some time to rest as I think they feel young. I put... |

Review notes: Very well made with a slight box press. Good draw and plenty of smoke volume. Looks fabulous and on a nice summer afternoon, it is my choice with a light Campari & Soda. They have a great feel in the hand and are very smooth with a great aroma. Burn in excellent. I just wish they were an inch longer. I hate to see it go so soon.... |

Review notes: Before I started smoking Cuban's, I knew the status of the Montecristo #2. I tried a Dominican one that I purchased for $12. retail. As a beginner, I thought it was good. But now that I have been smoking for several years and have had the opportunity to smoke every good cigar on the planet, there is no comparison between the two as far as flavor, construction, and burn. The Cuban Monty #2 is simpl... |

Review notes: Well constructed little cigars. Chocolate brown, oily wrapper. The pre-light draw was very tight.
Post-light, a decent amount of smoke, even though the draw remained tight. Flavors of pepper and the classic Montecristo twang of citrus zest, wood, and leather. The finish was nice and long-lasting. The only downside was that the smoke continued to get tighter (from already being on the tight side... |

Review notes: A solid feeling cigar. Pre-light draw was firm, but not too tight, with tastes of fresh tobacco and slight mustiness.
Initial light revels a perfect draw with plentiful smoke. First flavors are of leather, hay, and, light cedar. As the smoke progresses, woodiness takes over and the leather taste diminishes.
This is a medium-bodied and very smooth smoke. There was no harshness or abrupt chang... |

Review notes: The wrapper was golden brown with tiny veins and a nice oily sheen. The feel to this cigar was solid, with a perfect weight in the hand and very little give when squeezed. Pre-light draw seemed loose, but tasted of natural tobacco flavors.
Post-light produced rich tobacco flavors of cocoa, honey, roasted nuts, cedar, wood, and a medium spice. Delicious, to say the least! This cigar is medium in... |

Review notes: Perfect pre-light draw, full of fresh tobacco flavors.
Post-light produced flavors of earth, wood, and roasted nuts from this mild smoke.
Around the half-way point the body and pepper started picking up along with notes of vanilla, cocoa, worn leather, caramel, and citrus. This never reached a high level of strength, but ened up somewhere between mild and medium bodies.
The finish was lon... |
