Review notes: This was a great smoke, with lots of complex flavors, some of which I could not pick out. Prelight, the cigar smelled of fruit, cedar and hay. The draw added a slight spiciness the the smells. The construction was excellent, slightly spongy and with an easy draw. I took my time smoking this robusto, and noticed spicy flavors of white and then black pepper. Some leather and wood also came through at various points of the smoke. It started out at medium-full strength, but became full after the first third. This cigar was a little over a year old, and I am sure it will get better and more complex as it ages. I think I will try to keep some of these around for 5+ years. |
