This is the biggest format of Gonzalez Marquez; that of the greatest gauge and the greatest strength. Larger than the Lonsdale, it is an after-dinner Habano, with a good draw and excellent combustion. One of the best Coronas Gordas on the market.

Review notes: This is a very nice looking corona gorda, but out a box I just finihed smoking about ten of the sticks were plugged and none of the cigars were smokable past the halfway point.

Review notes: The cigar that I tried was a tad tight at first. It did loosen up once I got going. It had a vanilla tobacco taste and not sure how fast I would run to these when so many other great sticks in this size.

Review notes: I have to say that I was baffled with this box of cigars. What is usually known for being an extremely well made, reasonable priced, mild cigar, out of the Romeo Y Julieta factory, proved me wrong in a big way! I must have accidentally purchased a vintage box. The cigars were very dark in color, full bodied and the draw was tight if not completely plugged. I would have done much better purchasing a non-vintage box. My experience with Rafael Gonzalez is that they don't age well. In any event, this is the first box I have had any problems with from Cuban Lou's. It was my mistake to purchase a box of Rafael Gonzalez aged over a year. The non-vintage box my younger brother purchased were great! A great milled early day or morning smoke.

Review notes: In my humble opinion this is an outstanding cigar. Very complex flavors ranging from vanilla to burnt french peanuts. Very smooth with complexity building from a light begininng to strength all the way to the bitter end. Extremely difficult to put this cigar down. Burn was outstanding. The wrapper leaf was not perfect but slightly rumpled. Smoking the cigar overcame any questions about the wrapper. Very nice after dinner cigar perhaps a bit overpwering for earlier in the day.
