Partagas Presidentes - 25 cigars
  Partagas Presidentes - 25 cigars  [6.1 x 47]

Cigar Points Value : 199 cigar points worth $2.02

For its thickness, a Julieta; for its length, two centimeters shorter (nearly one inch), a rarity. Its dimensions make it appear to have great strength, and the truth is that it does and it also exceeds it. If you have chosen it because a Julieta seems too much for you, this tapered cigar will fulfill all your demands.

Length: 6.1 inches (158mm)
Ring Gauge: 47
Factory Shape: Tacos
Strength: Full
Packing Code: CB-UW-C/L-12,13-n-25

Per Box : $199.00

A little tight on the roll Date Added: Wednesday 06 July, 2011

Review notes: I bought a box of these about two years ago now and am finding out that I tend to have issues with them drawing well. I am not sure if the shape plays into it or I just happened to get a box that was rolled by an inexperienced Torcedor. The head tends to be a little tight for an easy smooth draw but with a little work and some patients I have been able to enjoy each and every one.

Review notes: This is my very first Cuban cigar and luck for me, the merchant probably had it aged by the time when I bought 3 sticks off the shelf. It was so good it basically set my standard for all other Cuban cigars (which later on, I realized not all Cubans are as perfect as this one.) The aroma was very smooth yet had distinctive Cuban smell to it and the dry draw itself was so good I couldn't wait myself to get the first few puff. In my excitement, I made a foolish mistake of not lighting my first stick properly yet it corrected itself beautifully. The second stick, however, had a bit of a draw issue - which was frustrating. However, being my first Cuban and all I was just happy to try couple out at that time. My third stick burned perfectly. The cigar was meant to be a full body cigar but the smoke was so silky and smooth it made the taste a bit more interesting and dynamic.

Review notes: I was lucky enough to get a box of the elusive and mysterious Partagas Salomons from a dealer in Spain. As far as I know, they only shipped a few boxes to Spain. They were expensive, just a little more than a box of Cohiba Esplendidos, but are just incredible. The Presidentes have not been available since I've been buying here, but I bought two boxes as soon as they were. They have the same deep, rich heavenly taste as the Salomons (a mini Salomon). It tastes like they use the same tobacco for both. I recommend them highly. If you can't find a box of Salomons (and good luck trying), get these. They are perfect in every way, forget the cello wrapper photo (they don't come wrapped in cellophane), these are hand-made sticks of gold.
