Review notes: Now I don't write reviews that are flowery, snooty or intellectual. I can't tell you if a cigar tastes like the smoldering essence of myrtlewood or whether that's a hint of allspice, currant or marmalade wafting past my nose or resting on my palate. What I can tell you is how well a cigar smoked and how much I enjoyed smoking it. So here is my take on the Partagas Mille Fleurs: I have been smoking this cigar in my rotation for several years and for the most part it does not disappoint. They are continually well made and nicely box-pressed. A fresh box must be unloaded into my humidor, where the sticks can settle in for a few weeks prior to smoking. If you don't store them loose in your humidor they won't offer up their full potential. Initially 65% humidity is about right as they are usually rolled on the firm side. However, once they have settled, you can safely bring it up to 70%. If you have never smoked a Cuban Partagas you won't know what I mean when I refer to that "Partagas" taste. If you have, then you will recognize these cigars as unmistakably "Partagas". The burn is usually near to perfect if you don't huff the Hell out of them. They perform best when given ample time (40+ minutes) to smoke. For me this is a good afternoon smoke as they are rich and full bodied. They produce very satisfying amounts of smoke and some interesting subtle flavors. I like them best when they begin to burn my fingers and I have to hold the nub in my lips. There is an intimacy there when the flavor and aroma fills your head with that special "something" that only a Cuban cigar can deliver at the end of the smoke. Re-read this review, follow my advice, then try one. I think you will be happy you did.
