Rey Del Mundo Lunch Club - 25 cigars
  Rey Del Mundo Lunch Club - 25 cigars  [4.5 x 40]

Cigar Points Value : 140 cigar points worth $1.42

He who named this short Habano with a ring of 40, defined the cigar at the same time, but with the second set of qualities attributed to Franciscans: humidity and good nature. The qualities of its brand are combined to make it as smooth and mild as a cocktail, in such a way that its aroma is welcomed even by the ladies.

Review notes: I am very impressed by this ERdM Lunch Club. I actually smoked this for lunch and it was absolutely perfect. This cigar has exactly what you'd expect from a small cigar. Loads of flavour and enjoyable aromas. There is a sweetness to this cigar. Perhaps cinnamon. Perhaps honey. ...very well balanced. An excellent blend of tabaccos that is very much El Rey del Mundo. I couldn't detect the bean flavours, but very typical Cuban flavours like earth, leather, and coffee. No spice here however. You know you're smoking an ERdM. Reminiscent of the Choix Supreme. The wrapper was dark and oily. A slightly tight draw that opened up after the first 1/3rd after gentle massaging of the head. I absolutely will not hesitate to add these to my humidor. This will be essential smoking for me in the future.
Not a complex smoke. Date Added: Thursday 09 July, 2009

Review notes: This cigar has a nice golden brown wrapper. It seemed a little light in the hand, which made me wonder how the draw would be. Pre-light draw, however, was perfect with just a small bit of resistance. Flavor had herbal hints, with natural tobacco. Post-light brough on plenty of smoke. Spicy with some vanilla and coffee notes. The smoke itself was medium strength, with a pleasing aftertaste. There were no burn issues for this quick smoke. This smoke was not very complex; the flavors basically remained the same through the experience.
My brother John got these here! Date Added: Tuesday 11 November, 2008

Review notes: Very full of cuban golden sweet sunshine, volatile flavor that soothes those far away olfactory receptors...? They are rich and pungent and unlike some of the others I have tried ( the stronger and smaller sizes) this box was a pleasant surprise in flavor and great construction... Some smaller, stronger El Rey's I have smoked are strong and similar in flavor, but were a lot more coarse w/ dirtier flavor... These just keep having an amazing smooth, creamy, and refined flavor that make them better than any of the others @ El Rey I have tried. We await the robusto ( Croix) to see if it is the cigar or Cuban Lou's who seem to get amazing quality... I always liked the Croix Supreme for its very pronounced cuban flavor but was less partial to the dirtier , more course burn flavor construction etc..., leaf tones. But we shall see soon if CL's Croix's are superior as well.
