Review notes: Received my shipment this morning. I crawled out of bed, went to the living room and when the gray matter begin firing I remembered I had a shipment due any day. I opened the front door ever so slightly to see if my little treasures had arrived. Everytime I receive a shipment it is like Christmas morning. I do not think my non cigar smoking friends know how great a gift a habano is. Truly we botl are easy to buy for. Two boxes were on the porch. A great start to my day. The opening ritual began. I gave a little squeeze to one cigar from each box purchased. Even though my puros had been in transit, the Edmundos en tubos gave a nice, crisp crackle and the weight felt ok. Normally, I let my cigars recover for a few weeks post arrival. However, innately being endowed with no patience I took the risk and fired one up. I felt it the risk was mitigated based in the weight and crisp crackle upon opening. I cut the cigar and the pre light draw was perfect, nice and open. I lit the Edmundo with a cedar strip and let the games begin. Beautiful burn, perfect draw and coffee and Cuban tobacco essence abounded. The Edmundo reflected the tangy Montecristo flavor, a hallmark of the brand. I am very impressed. A true pleasure to smoke. I should mention the dark, silky, oily wrapper. I hope the rest are of this quality. Thank you Kevin and Cubsb Lous.

Review notes: Just received a box of the edmundo tubos (15). Smoked one after two days in the humi. Burn was perfect. Draw a little on the tight side but not too bad. Nice pepper and spice flavors but way too young. It has alot of potential after 6 mos to a year but not ready now.
More medium than full bodied. Date Added: Friday 26 June, 2009
Review by Michael Appearance: 10 out of 10

Review notes: The cigar had a light coffee-colored wrapper, felt light in the hand, and though soft to the touch, the areas around the band and cap were firm. I've smoked a couple from this batch over the months and the draws have been perfect. The pre-light draw on this one was pretty tight. Not much of a pre-light taste. Post-light draw had some nice spice to it, but it was still tight. I used a poker to help the smoke get going and a stronger spice flavor came though. Good stuff. The spice and pepper lasted the whole way through this smoke. Around halfway through I picked up some sweet coffee notes, with a little earth and cedar on the finish. The burn was perfect throughout the smoke. Overall the smoke was more medium than full bodied.

Review notes: Nice oily wrapper with excellent construction. This cigar has tons of smoke and we were in an outside cantina when the waiter came over from across the room and said how great it smelled. The flavor had a bit of spice on the pre-lite with a nice leather and cedar flavor the first 3rd, the 2nd 3rd was smooth with a little floral and cedar note but the final 3rd was great with a littler leather and pepper, I had a bit of tunneling on 1 but it did'nt last to long. I got that little tingling/numbing feeling on the lips at the nub (reminicent of my first Monte). I never bought a box of these, just the 15 pack and like the cedar liners in the tubes that make it great to light. Will buy more. Thanks Kevin for getting these to me before my vacation!!

Review notes: This is just a great smoke the kinda cigar that you would think a Cuban should be big and fat, with tons of smoke and the perfect flavor. This is the kind of cigar that a 1930s type mobster would smoke. I found them to be just as good as the ones that come out of the box.
