Review notes: Very nice, just what I expected. My first Habano (way back when) was a Monte and this one was no disappointment! Wrapper is a nice smooth texture, medium brown, no red hues. Construction was superb with an easy draw and high volume of smoke. Not too many big veins in the wrapper, but the wrapper was not oily at all, very silky to the touch. I like the extra "2" to that brings the ring gauge up to 52 as I prefer thick cigars. Smoked it till the nub was less than an inch which is always how I know I like a cigar!!

Review notes: I'm a newbie whereas reviews are concerned, so keep that in mind. Smoked one right off the post truck and I agree with other reviews who have said they need a bit of time in the humidor. Smoked another just 2 weeks later and what a difference. Both cigars were well constructed with an even burn and easy draw. The wrapper is a nice shade of brown, with none of the reddish hue I've come to associate with most Cubans. As for taste, I will try my best to describe the 2nd (2 wks in the humidor). The first 1/3 struck me as spicy with earthy overtones. The cigar really begins to shine in the 2nd 1/3 with a blend of earth, coffee and chocolate. As is the case with many cigars I smoke, the last 1/3 is ALWAYS a crescendo of flavors that have me smoking too fast and heating up the leaf!! I wish I had better restraint. I burned my fingers trying to smoke every bit of the nub. Overall, I liked this cigar and would recommend it to anyone.
Not much flavor here. Date Added: Wednesday 07 November, 2007

Review notes: Rather disappointed with this one. A nicely made cigar that is just plain boring. If you can imagine a bland version on a Hoyo De Montery Excalibur #1. Not a bad flavor mind you, just bland, not much of it. I got the packs of 3, so I can't tell the box code or year.

Review notes: I love this size cigar. I smoked one very slowly at the driving range yesterday. The first 15 minutes were a bit tight, but then it evolved nicely to a more rich satisfying smoke. I think the Edmundo would would improve nicely with a bit more age. Perhaps another year or so..(?)
