Review notes: I could try 5 of these beauties a week ago. One of the most surprising thing was the time. I could smoke during a fantastic 2 hours. I found the first 10minutes hot and spicy, but when it gets to cruising temperature, is when its true flavours show. The 2/3 of this cigar is amazing, showing mocha and roasted coffee, with a soft creamy mouthfeel, and is a absolute pleasure to smoke. I am quite dissapointed with the last 1/3 of this cigar, but a beautiful smoke none the less. The last 1/3 smokes too hot and I find is quite peppery and spicy. By the way it is a must have cuban.

Review notes: a yearly standout, this is the cigar that i measure all other cubans to. no matter what i'm smoking, my question is always how it stacks up to this cigar. great burn, fantastic draw, great flavors of sweetness and woods that make up a fantastic medium bodied cigar!
Better With Age Date Added: Wednesday 08 July, 2009

Review notes: I tried my first No. 2 about a year ago. My initial experience wasn't anything like the glowing reviews of other Montecristo smokers. I found the No. 2 to be a bit too spicy, even harsh. Not a good first impression but since I bought several sticks I had the choice to either give the others away or let them age. Be generous with your sticks if you want, but believe me, this one really sings with at little as one year in the humidor. All my memories of sharpness and extreme spiciness were replaced with a truly enjoyable smoke. Although the draw was stiff, the flavors were excellent: well-tempered spice, rich woodyness, and a comforting creamy taste throughout. In my opinion, the Montecristo No. 2 is definitely better with age.

Review notes: Unbelievable. Great companion to a sweeter single malt scotch. Now I just have to try to keep one or two in the humidor, and not smoke them all too fast.

Review notes: well i had the nunber tows' and i disagree with the many reviews posted on it. it isn' a terrible cigar quite smoothe but i found the that in the first third of the cigar i had to work a little too hard to get a nice amount of smoke. the middle was a bit better and the finish was great but it defenetiley is not the greatest of all time. but thats just my opinion...

Review notes: Ok, first off, I am a new cigar smoker and I took a chance ordering these off a website. BUT, cubanlous is great. I received my order in days! Unbelievable. And I could not wait to try a monte #2 so I immediately fired one up. All I have to say is this a great tasting cigar and a great company to order from. I will be purchasing more in the future. Thanks Kevin.

Review notes: I don't usually keep a ton of these around, I have just smoked to many that were just ok. I have a few boxes that I have been putting some age on, and today I decided to crack one open and see where they were at. Now I remember why I bought these! This cigar from 06' is mouth wateringly good! I have heard it said before.... When these cigars are on they are ON! I find them full of flavor, but not overpowering. If you like the monte line you will love these when they are good... sometimes you need to try a few before you get a good one ;)

Review notes: These cigars came in a box of 10. Absolutely phenomenal looking and smelling pre light. Straight barnyard and spice! All of these drew perfectly, and smoked like a dream producing tons of smoke. Rich flavors of spice, earth, leather, and cream make this No.2 the best in the world. A must have.

Review notes: I purchased this from Cuban Lou's about a two weeks ago (BTW Cuban Lou's has very fast international shipping time) and I was more than satisfied. As far as the cigar itself goes it was the best ever. flavor is to die for and you cant beat cuban construction. 10's all around and I dont give 10's lightly.

Review notes: This is one of my humidor standards. They travel well, are a relatively quick smoke (1 hour), and have an unusually high level of reliability in their consistency of quality. Sure Cohibas and Partagas are nice ot have around as well, but the Monte #2 is a standard in my humidor.

Review notes: This cigar will spoil you. While not that aged- it still emits an intoxicating aroma and flavor unlike any other. A spicy-graham cracker like aroma and flavor that you just can't put down. Im a very picky smoker- and this is one outstanding cigar.

Review notes: The construction was very good with few veins and had only a slight give when pressed between my fingers. I couldn't detect any hard spots indicating a possible hard draw or plug. The head was topped with the typical 3 caps and only a slight bit of tooth. Looking at the foot you could see different shades to the leaves used. Most being a dark golden brown, however a small section significantly different in color. I grabbed my favorite Swiss Army and went to work. I actually got slightly off center on the punch, however close enough! I grabbed my leather coat and stepped outside with my Z-Plus Zippo and a small slither of cedar. Once the foot was nice and toasted, I put fire to it. The cedar really helps bring in the flavors when lighting. I can say that the first draw was smooth with tasting of sweet cocoa and leather, a hint of cedar. A bit of spice, some light pepper, tickled my nose as I let the smoke roll out my nostrils. A very well balance between flavors to say the least. The same flavors stayed basically consistent for approximately a little over half the cigar, however once a little over half-way, the spiciness all but subsided and a more pronounced earth and wood taste came through. A bit more power came through as well. Yet still a delicious cigar!
