decent low priced cigar Date Added: Thursday 06 October, 2011
Review by Steve Appearance: 7 out of 10

Average rating: 7.80 Flavor: 7 out of 10
Value: 10 out of 10

Review notes: this is probably the largest low priced cigar i've seen, but gotta say contruction was on the bad side, looks a big rough, and the tightness of the roll can vary a bit between various sticks. however the flavor of the cigar was actually not bad for such a cheap cigar, got this earthy taste, cuban armoa, plus another distinct flavor i couldn't quite make out, not a bad cheaper cigar to give out to friends that don't smoke much, a decent try i would say if on a tight budget.

Review notes: I've been smoking Piedra Cazadores for more than 12 years, though not lately. I bought a bunch, and they have improved vastly over the years. They used to be loose, not so strong, but now they are perfect: tightly rolled, dark wrappers, much more intense flavor, it's hard to believe it's the same cigar. Yes, you can pay 4x as much for a mainline equiv., but these are so good, especially for the price. As I've said, any cuban beats the best of the non-cubans. These are hand-made, not machine made. Very satisfying smoke, and the best kept secret of the cubanos world!

Review notes: I'm sorry to disagree with most of you, but I have to say you get what you pay for. It may be the cheapest 'big cigar' on here, but after smoking two last night I'll not be smoking another. I can only assume I got a bad batch* because my experience was very different from other reviewers on here. Both had poor construction, both were a tough draw, both were very average in taste. Very Disappointing, I shall be sticking with what I know, R y J's, Montecristo's and Bolivar, are worth the extra money. Des (*These were not bought from Cuban Lou’s)

A pleasant enough medium flavoured smoke Date Added: Sunday 10 May, 2009

Review notes: Average to below average taste and aroma. A pleasant enough medium flavoured smoke for a good price. It's not really complex and it has a slightly tangy, grassy taste of young tobacco amongst a fairly creamy coffee and woody flavour.

Review notes: You are getting what you pay for with this cigar. It is one dimensional, but you get the cuban characteristics. As in, you can taste the grass / cuban flavors that are missing from many NC cigars. I usually buy 2 bundles so while I smoke the first one, the second one has a bit of age on it. Definitely a good cigar to give out to friends that don't smoke to much. One of my buddies said it was the best cigar he smoked. I told him how much it was and he was amazed. Needless to say he is now on the dark path of cubans :)

Review notes: Don't be put off by the low price - these are good-quality, enjoyable cigars. I took a chance and bought some and was glad that I did. Ok, they may not be the last word in depth or complexity of flavour (I found them to be fairly mild and inoffensive - that's not a criticism) but that meant that for me, the enjoyment was different to something from e.g. Montecristo. I was a little underwhelmed, but sometimes a lighter cigar is the more appropriate choice. The cigars appear to be well made although there is a bit of variation in appearance - some have quite heavily-veined wrappers, others are a lot smoother and subtle. Expect a good hour or so's smoking from the Cazadores, and a steady burn and very easy draw (too easy?). At this price, can you afford *not* to try them?

Review notes: These cigars are one of the best values available. Although indicated that they're machine made, the bundle I received was labeled "totalamente a mano". The flavor can't be beat, woody and mild. They taste better than they look, the color and texture being a bit rough with notable variance between individual cigars. If they have a fault, they seem to be rolled a bit loose, as the draw is overly easy and they burn rather quickly. But if you take your time and let the nature of the cigar set the smoking pace, you'll find them extremely enjoyable.

Review notes: Just bought my first bundle of Cazadores and am well impressed. I usually smoke the Nacionales and love them, but these are great. A pretty big cigar, with a really good draw and firm ash, can be left for 5 minutes without needing relit. A creamy taste with a nice aroma, not too strong or overpowering. The only drawback I would say is that you have to be careful when cutting because if you cut a smidgen too much the top unwraps, not a lot though because they can still be smoked. This, of course, could just be this batch. All in all, a great smoke at a great price. Anyway, I better go, I have one lit and needing smoked!

Review notes: I took these on Kevin's recommendation and what a smoke. I took mine to the Oktoberfest in Germany and me and my mates had some great smokes! I normally smoke Nacionales and found these to be REALLY GOOD. The only thing other than these fine cigars that the other fellow campers wanted was my Jack Daniels, which, I gave up....they aint getting my cigars! A big cigar in a small body, good draw and good ash and I reckon I might even order these again (as well as my Nacionales). a creamy cigar which I would readily recommend. If you you buy them and don't like them...send them to me ;-)

Review notes: Here in Australia cigars are bloody expensive so any that you smoke should be worth your hard earned($10 a piece for one of these J.L.P's).It just so happens that these do,I normally smoke the crema or nacional so it was a sure bet that I would smoke these at some stage. They are a big smoke(usually enjoyed with a single malt scotch)easy draw with a raw cuban taste with a twang that i cant work out,any way if i lived in America i would smoke heaps of these and the other vitolas as well. They may be ugly but damn what a smoke, and the cheapest big cigar that we can buy.
