Hoyo Churchills - 25 cigars
  Hoyo Churchills - 25 cigars  [6.9 x 47]

Cigar Points Value : 245 cigar points worth $2.48

It is difficult to find a better Churchill than that of the Hoyo de Monterrey brand. The tradition of this brand, one of the most prestigious of the cuban size range, requires care in its manufacture, which is only in the hands of the best cigar makers. Like all those of this brand, its flavor has that saline aftertaste that we always like to find in good cigars. If a definition was needed of a cigar's flavor, Hoyo de Monterrey is where that rare mixture is most appreciable - sweet and salty at the same time- a rare and exquisite combination, product of the very special soil of Vuelta Abajo.

Review notes: good churchill overall, good armoa, nice looking dark appearence, strength wasn't overpowering though, churchills always looks great, personally prefer the Romeo Churchill though, but the Hoyo is still a good smoke

Review notes: I used to despise this cigar but then i found a box from 200o and i gave it a chance. What a great improvement the box pressed shape is an added bonus. It had a classic hoyo grassy flavor similar to the DC.

Average rating: 8.60 Flavor: 10 out of 10

Review notes: These cigars really need atleast five years of aging to unlock their true potential. I normaly have found these cigars very dissapointing in the last ten years. But recently I stumbled upon a box from 200 and decided to give it a try. It had completely transformed into a completely different cigars presented a very smooth hoyo taste similar to the hoyo DC.
Subpar Churchill Date Added: Wednesday 11 February, 2009
Review by Jason Appearance: 6 out of 10
Box Code/Year: 2006  Construction: 5 out of 10
Average rating: 4.60 Flavor: 4 out of 10
Value: 4 out of 10
Experience: 4 out of 10
Review notes: This is a good looking cigar, but it really stops there. The cigars tend to be rolled to tightly, and the draw suffers. The flavors are medium at best, showing cedar and a slight twang, as it's not really balanced and complex. The smoking experience on these is not the best. Much, much better churchills out there.
Tough Draw Date Added: Monday 23 June, 2008
Review by John Appearance: 7 out of 10
  Construction: 2 out of 10
Average rating: 4.60 Flavor: 7 out of 10
Value: 3 out of 10
Experience: 4 out of 10
Review notes: My experience with this cigar is not good. Everyone I light up seems to have a very hard draw and you cannot draw a good volume of smoke because of it. There are many brands better in this size and price range.
