Review notes: The box code TTH represents the Holguin (regional facility in Holguin) factory and they were made in Jan, 1998 (NSU). Man, are they good!! I got these from the Vintage section about a year ago, and am glad I did. They are unique in their presentation because they are individually wrapped by thin, white paper secured by the band and small spots of glue. Aging has made the flavors very complex. Prelight, I got flavors and scents that include cinnamon, wood/oak, leather and dusty, aged tobaco. The flavors after lighting the cigar were awesome. It started out mild to medium in strength, and kept that throughout. The first taste was of cedar/wood, which progressed to a light leather, then white pepper, light coffee and then more robust coffee. The finish in my mouth had similar changes; moving from dusty cedar to leather, then a slight spiciness, then sweetness and back to a slight spiciness. I was able to exhale through my nose with no burning at all, which added additional pleasure to the experience. I smoked this down to the nub, which took about an hour and a half. Excellent cigar!! I may have to check the vintage section for a suitable box for my birthday in August. |
