Review notes: This is a big cigar with a medium brown and coarse wrapper. Pre-light draw was on the tight side, but the stick seems on the edge of being overly humid or moist.
Still a tight draw after toasting the foot. A slight run started, but corrected itself, then started again. About a third of the way in, the smoke started to flow better. Tastes of roasted nuts and sweet hay came through with a bit of spice on the back of the throat.
The ash was light gray, and held strong. At around the half-way point, the cigar really took off and developed a good medium strength smoke with a good amount of spiciness, tastes of coffee, honey, nuts, and earth; with a nice, long finish. |
