Review notes: The appearance of this cigar is very nice indeed with a nice smooth wrapper with only some fine veins. After cutting this cigar the pre-light draw was very easy and I was hopeful that once lit, it would be everything that I had read.
I was not disappointed, construction was perfect and the burn was even right to the end. Hints of spice, chocolate and coffee in the first 1/3, midway through this built to a crescendo of flavors, I love the complexity of bigger ring sizes. The last 1/3 is always the best for me, burning my fingers is the norm.
Overall, this cigar was not as strong as I feared, still being young, rather and nice medium-full flavor and strength. While this is a pricey cigar, it is still not disappointing and a worthy special occasion smoke. It does not pale, even to say a Trinidad Robusto Extra. While the TTT may have a bit of a nicer wrapper, both cigars satisfy. |
