Review notes: I've just finished a Siglo IV, which I lit just before the UEFA Champions League match on TV between Manchester United and Glasgow Rangers was kicking off (I'm a Man U fan from Dublin). I finished the cigar as the final whistle blew. Just over an hour and a half, great timing! I usually smoke Partagas Shorts, which I love. The Shorts are right at the top limit of my cigar budget - actually a bit over budget, but since I gave up alcohol I feel I can pamper myself a bit. I decided to treat myself and include a 5-pack of Siglo IVs with my last order. It had been some years since I smoked a Cohiba, and I wanted to see if they really were that special or if my memory was being too kind to them. I smoked one straight away, and my reaction was "Meh - nice, but no nicer than my Partagas Shorts." The burn was uneven and the smoke tasted a little bit harsh at the end. It was pleasant enough, but I thought, "OK, now I've been there and done that, I can stop wondering." Fast forward three weeks, and to the second cigar from that 5-pack, the one I've just finished. What a difference! The wrapper was perfect, the cap was perfect, the burn was perfect, the draw was perfect, the volume of smoke was perfect and the flavour was beyond perfect, all smooth coffee/caramel and meadow. It was a powerful and satisfying smoke but never harsh. The final third gained in power, but again no harshness. I loved every moment of it, and smoked it practically to the cut. As I sat basking in the after-glow all I could think of was the next time I could justifiably light one up. They're too expensive for me to buy a box but the occasional 5-pack is a definite. I'm going to buy another 5-pack with my next order so that when I smoke the 3 I have left I won't feel sad. If they're anything like the one I just finished that will be sooner rather than later. Were it not for the price I'd give this a perfect 10. But if you're one of the lucky ones who can afford a box, you've got perfection.

Review notes: I just received my box a few days ago (Switzerland to New Mexico in 5 days) and I was surprised that I mistakenly bought 5 packs of 5 cigars. What a blessing in disguise!!! First thing I noticed when I opened up one of the individual cigars was bloom! So far every cigar I\'ve looked at has bloom on them! For those unaware what bloom is, it\'s little specks of a white powdery substance that comes from the oils in the wrapper drying. It\'s a sign of perfect storage/aging and should NOT be removed before smoking! The construction is near perfect with a dark, oily wrapper and a beautiful cap. Very smooth with few veins. What you would expect from Cohiba. The flavor is amazing with, and I\'m no cigar poet so no fancy flavors, A smoke that can only be described as creamy and delicious. I\'m not sure if it\'s leather, nutmeg, cocoa beans or pot roast! I just know when I swirl it around in my mouth it tastes wonderful. As I speak, the ash is a darkish gray and the burn is straight and I\'m truly enjoying this lovely Sunday morning smoke! I\'m close to the 2nd third of the cigar and it\'s starting to get a little spicier. I can only imagine what the last 3rd will bring! Just a little bit of heaven! I will definitely buy more of these cigars. I also want to mention Kevin and his customer service. I have dealt with 3 other cuban cigar dealers and none compare to Cuban Lou\'s. I\'ve purchased several boxes over the past year or so and I\'ve only had 1 problem which was quickly rectified by Kevin and his crew. I wish I lived in Switzerland!
