Review notes: Okay first off this is a true maduro. No namby pamby smoker's going to enjoy this massive smoke. Being a Maduro smoker from way back I was excited to learn several years ago that Cohiba had created a maduro line. Oh the dreams of smoking one were relegated to only that becuase at the time I didn't know about Cuban Lou's. Flash forward to June of 2010 and I'm surfing in Nosara, Costa Rica with my son. WE walk in to one of the local shops and like a sign from heaven there was the first Cohiba Maduro I've ever seen up close and personal. The wrapper was rich and dark brown perfectly rolled. Luckily the owner of the shop was a smoker himself and properly maintained the humidor. I asked him how long it had been in there relaxing he said that one was the last of a box he had placed in there about 4 months ago. I went to a local wine shop grabbed a Chilean Cab and sat myself down that night to smoke it. The smoke lit up and burned evenly with a hint of cocoa in the background and coffee but intially a strong smoke. Some of my fellow surfers commented on how great its aroma was, so it wasn't just me thinking it. Slowly as I worked my way deeper into it nuances of other flavors began to add themselves to the mix and the strong aspects of it leveled out and became very smooth. It really became heavenly about a third of the way in. This cigar let me ride the joy train all the way down to the nub if there was a roach clip around I probaly would've reached for it. The only sad part of this cigar was letting it go because my fingers were burning. Needless to say I had to have some and I found CL's online and they delivered. So now I've got them in my humidor relaxing waiting for that window of time when I dare to seek heaven again. |

Review notes: bought two singles, smoked these with a very good friend and after reading the previous reviews now feel an outcast but i really was expecting more. the appearance was great, the flavour was good, but is this really one of the best cohibas you can buy? the most disappointing part of this cigar was the energy spent trying to keep the blighter alight!! i would not class myself as an experienced cigar smoker, but my years practice should be able to keep a top of the range cigar alight, which neither of us did. maybe we were unlucky, and if we were to try another it may well get a better score, but for the price i think there are much better smokes from other houses. will be sometime before i try one of these again. |

Review notes: Bought a box of these for my daughter's birthday and plan on smoking one a year until her 18th birthday. Unlike any non cuban maduro I've ever had. The dark wrapper actually looks like its dark from fermentation and not coffee staining. Yes coffee staining! Any way these start medium and build in to a full bodied smoke. I wonder what they will become in a decade, but one thing is for sure is that they will still have flavor. |

Review notes: A real beauty, I was surprised at how crealy and suble these are. I was attempting to ration my box of ten for special occasions, but they were all gone within 6 months. Say it all really. Outstanding. |

Review notes: Love these. I prefer medium cigars and this is it even though it is a maduro. Full of creamy flavor and coffee tones. I recomend these are a great any time smoke. |
