Review notes: definitely not the prettiest design but like so many things in life its more than meets the eye. the richness of this bolivar and quality of the tobbacco make it a fine and rare cuban delicacy. i always like the earthy yet spicy flavor. enjoy!! |

Review notes: This cigar is the best in the marca concerning flavor. This cigar is solid ligero from foot to head. The draw is intentionally tight, meant to throttle the smoker from overheating the cigar. Classic flavors from the marca can be found nuts, earth, leather, and hay. Just beautiful. |

Review notes: This is a strange vitola from Bolivar. It is still very well constructed, however, and smokes very well. It is extremeley straightforward, of roasted nuts, spice, and has a somewhat harsh finish. I could smoke these, but I would rather a the petit corona or minuto from this marca. Good price. |

Review notes: The flavor of this cigar is quite good not as complex as the Belicosos and seems to be a bit stronger, will get much better with age reminds me of a longer Ramon small club. The only issue I had was the first 2 I smoked were plugged but I used a tool/ paper clip and they smoked just fine. |

Review notes: This is a smooth and tasty smoke! Lighter than a monte 4 but just as satisfying. I am on my second box and cant seem to keep them around long enough to age. So do not know if they get better with age, but with the way they taste out of the box i might never know. I highly recommend them esp if you are new to cigars as they are milder than an H Upmann and not a huge time commitment to smoke. |

Review notes: firstly i will change my name slightly as there are 2 pauls posting reviews.
beautifull comstruction, lovely oily wrapper, slightly heavy draw, nice white/lite grey ash held very well.maybe another 2-3 years in humidor for perfection, burn straightened itself out after about a third smoked.rumoured to be discontinued next year due to small sales.smoked it whilst drinking a light Japenese whisky,Yamazari 12 yo.
this is a medium smoke at this age not much stronger than a 7yo Hoya de Depute,i bought these in London, much better buy on Cuban Lous site.a cigar to be smoked during the day,i prefer something stronger at night,Montecristo no 4 for example. |

Review notes: Well, I just don't understand a lot of the tasting reviews for this cigar, unless they are for more mature vintages. I have had these for 6wks and couldn't resist trying one early. Now I won't touch one for another 6 months of aging. Obviously, this is a very young cigar. I tasted tobacco, leather and wood and little else. It is well-constructed, and burned well, but I didn't receive any of the complicated flavors other mention. I will write again in 6 monhts. |

Review notes: Lovely wrapper, very small veins with a nice sheen to the leaf. The prelight aroma was rich and earthy. The foot showed a nice accordion-like folding of the tobacco and the head showed a lovely triple cap. It cut cleanly revealing nice internal structure. Prelight the draw was perfect to my taste, medium firm with an earthy, barnyard taste.
It charred and then fired beautifully with a white pepper and leather initial character. At 1/2" hints of cedar and a slight fruitiness were developing. At 1" the sweetness and fruity notes continued with hints of cocoa emerging. The ash was firm and grey but I was becoming concerned about some unevenness in the burn. The ash fell at about 1 1/2" and the burn corrected itself with no attention from me. At the halfway mark the smoke was mellowing considerably with rich, creamy tasting tobacco flavor filling my mouth and nasal cavities. The final third developed some black pepper flavors with the cedar and creamy character continuing. The last inch was very mellow and smooth while continuing the wonderful rich, creamy taste until I could not hold it any longer. It lasted a little over 50 minutes for me, although I tend to smoke rather quickly.
I thoroughly enjoyed this smoke. At less than $6 each by the box, delivered, I found it to be a reasonable value in a lovely, full bodied smoke. I look forward to seeing what some additional aging will do in developing this already tasty stick! |
