Review notes: I managed to find some of these in Tokyo, Japan on Monday night. Also found an H.Upmann 2009 LE, which I smoked on Monday and thought was very disappointing. I am not easily impressed. I got around to smoking the Hoyo last night and,...WOW! Absolutely gorgeous. Easily one of the best I have smoked in the last 5 years. In fact, I can only think of the Monte Sublime 2008 being as impressive as this. And they are two very different cigars.
If you can find these Hoyo's, get them. I can't Imagine what more time will do for it. |

Review notes: Picked up three sticks in London hoping that these sticks will be as good as the last three hoyo LE's(Particulares, pyramides and epicure especial). Alas this cigar highly dissapoints. It is far worse one of the wors hoyo i have smoked. I suggest you buy yourself palmas extras instead of this cigar. |

Review notes: I could not resist trying right away and was not disapointed. They are pricy but worth every penny. rich, full body smoke with that monty taste. Coffee, coffee, coffee. Love em. Get a box while they last. |

Review notes: Let them get used to your humidor and you will be rewarded. Tried 1 early this year and it is nothing like what I am smoking now. Great Value. Creamy, coffee and cocoa |

Review notes: Young and tannic, not yet showing any of the grace and balance one expects for this price. Perhaps the future will be kind to these, but smoking them right now is a waste of time. I'll put the rest of mine away for a few years, then test one again. I'll let you know. |

Review notes: The Limitadas can be hit or miss. This one is a miss. The 2007 RYJ and the Trinidad offer exciting smokes. This Hoyo left me flat. I have smoked 5 of them and the one positive that I can say is that they're consistent. I found the draws tight. The flavor was ok; however, it didn't make me want to run out and buy a box. There are just better cigars in this size in the market that cost less. The cigar looked good and maybe in a couple of years it will age into a nice stick; however, right now, no thanks. |

Review notes: I must say even though I think the limitada thing is a bit over rated, most of the smokes in this series are excellent & this is no exception! Great construction & burn, exceptional tastes of spicey cedar with hints of cocoa/coffee maybe? That could have been from all the cappuccinos I was drinking. I didn't find it quite as bold as the R&J from this line, but great none the less. |
