Review notes: I am amused/amazed at the large differences in ratings for this little beauty. It is a well kept secret, a pleasant, relaxing smoke with a easy draw. No surprises here... the final third is as good as the first. One way I judge a cigar is by determining how disappointed I am when it's gone. On that scale, the Hermosos is a 9.5.
I'll leave descriptions of complexity to others.... I rarely can taste what they taste (and who wants to suck on a piece of leather or a scoop of earth, anyway?). But if you're wondering if you will appreciate the experience, let me set your mind at ease.
While the wrapper has a deep sheen that is quite pleasing to the eyes, and the feel is just right in your hand, it is the taste of this cigar that keeps me passing over other boxes of Havanas in my humidor. An even burn with ample smoke adds to the enjoyment.
The Hermosos is simply a solid performer, and an exceptional value to boot. I have no plans to be without this cigar as long as they are available. |
